Many people are suffering because of this ongoing issue which is the spread of the Corona Virus. All of us have to adjust everything we do, especially that the World Health Organization encourages us to not be in crowded places, and have social distancing. We also need to comply this protocol for the betterment of our country and of ourselves. With this pandemic, a lot of people are suffering. A lot of people lost their jobs, their business, and most especially some may have lost their loved ones. Also, everything has changed due to this virus. Classes has been done in an online platform already and as well as work. Students are really struggling in this situation because not all of us are fortunate enough to have such gadgets in order to be able to join the classes. A lot of students are also having difficulties learning in an online platform maybe because of the environment they have at home. What we are going through now is not easy, that is why we need to help each other hand-in-hand in order to achieve success.
As a medical student, it is really difficult for us to adjust to the new mode of learning which is the online education because medical students need to practice in an actual setting. Also, it is really difficult to learn in an online setup because we will not be able to perform it properly. So far, as a nursing student, I will try to cope up with this online learning by basically studying well, following instructions properly and carefully, and by listening to the lectures given by our professors. In my opinion, it would really be best to learn in a face-to-face setup because each one of us have different ways of learning. Also, considering the environment we have at home, it is just really difficult to learn especially with all the noise in the surroundings. Medical course is no joke because sooner or later, we will be handling patients, taking care of them, and be at hold of their lives.
We just really need to give extra effort in order to gain knowledge. It really won’t be easy since we are newbies in this field, but as we try to continue this journey, we will be able to learn a lot and basically enjoy the medical field journey. Medical students do not stop learning, instead, they need to learn more and discover more every day. In these trying times, it is not a hindrance to continue learning and studying. Let us not make this a reason not to continue with our studies. Instead, make this a challenge to do more and make our dreams come true despite everything that we have been through. We need to continue with our studies especially that we are medical students so that there will be newly-produced medical students in the near future since we already lack medical front liners. Let us pray to God that He will guide us in our journey in order to succeed our dreams and be successful one day.
